What’s more exotic than going for a walk during the weekend in a garden where butterflies fly freely, around ponds surrounded by tropical plants and flowers ?

It’s in such a charming place that our Archimedes’ screw conveyor, Archimedys, has found its place.

One of our customer, a butterfly farmer, decided to equip one of his pond with our Archimedys screw conveyor in order to move marble balls and create eddies.

A traditional stainless steel screw conveyor wouldn’t have had as many advantages in such a place : noisy, less esthetic and quickly corroded.

That’s why our Archimedys screw was so adapted to the situation : the polymer used to make Archimedys screw reduces the noise during the use. Visitors are not disturbed by the functioning of the screw : they can make the most of the charming setting, with a total peace of mind. Complete change of scene guaranteed !

Furthermore, Archimedys screw conveyor is corrosion-resistant. Its resistance to corrosion or abrasion is far better than stainless steel screw. Thus, even plunged continuously in a fond, the screw resists to corrosion much longer than a stainless steel screw.

With its simple and compact design, Archimedys screw conveyor is very light in weight in comparison to stainless steel conveyor. It can be set up on the spot, without any welding, simply by assembling the modules.

In terms of maintenance, even then, there are plenty of advantages. Due to its modularity, when Archimedys screw conveyor needs to be repaired, you only have to change the damaged module and not the entire screw.

Installation and maintenance operations are becoming easier and faster : reduction of maintenance life cycle costs and no loss of productivity due to an extended shutdown.
